SIL-SG1/2 SILENT GLOBE SS CHECK VALVE

OVERVIEW: The SIL-SG center-guided silent check valves with a stainless steel body use a fully automatic spring assisted discs to eliminate water hammer while preventing flow reversal in the piping.  The spring closure acts faster than swing check valves, which can slam shut with the flow reversal.  These advanced designs have flow straightening vanes that reduce turbulence in incoming flow, which minimizes noise, vibrations, erosion, cavitations, and other factors that could result in premature failure.

The globe style body design minimizes head loss with a large cross-sectional area across the check valve. And typical conical spring construction that restrict flow, the SIL-SG has a compression spring coupled with a small stem guide that allows for an unobstructed flow path.  Clearance within the body allows a butterfly valve to be installed directly on the outlet side of the valve without extra piping.

Standard discs and seats for the SIL-SG from Stayflow are stainless steel, and they have precision machined surfaces to maintain a tight seal that meets or exceeds API 598 leakage requirements. Soft seats are also available. Discs are designed with very low cracking pressure, which reduces the amount of energy needed to open the valve.
