OVERVIEW: The Model YBS is a 125# bronze Y strainer (wye strainer) that can be used in liquid applications where protection from foreign matter in a pipeline is required. For bronze with thread ends, see the Model YBT.
They are constructed from cast bronze, and have female solder joint sweat ends in accordance with ASME B16.18. Perforated 304 stainless steel screens are welded along the seam for maximum strength. A bronze blow-off plug is supplied unless otherwise specified.
Non-Shock Working Pressure for the YBS is 200psi at 150F for water, gas, and oil (WOG) liquids.
