OVERVIEW: The Model YBT is a compact, corrosion-resistant bronze Y-strainer with NPT threaded ends, designed for dependable protection of valves, meters, and pumps in potable water, air, oil, and low-pressure steam systems. Constructed from ASTM B62 bronze, the YBT resists dezincification and galvanic corrosion, making it ideal for marine, HVAC, and commercial plumbing installations. Available in sizes from ¼″ through 3″, it offers service pressures up to 400 psi WOG and 150 psi steam. The internal 304 stainless steel perforated screen provides a generous open-area ratio for reduced pressure drop and longer service life. The threaded cap allows easy access for cleaning, and a ½″ NPT blow-off port is provided (plugged) for inline purging. The YBT’s compact body design is optimized for tight piping layouts and is NSF 61/372 compliant for potable water use.
