OVERVIEW: The Model YCS is a compact, forged carbon steel Y-strainer with socket weld ends, engineered for high-pressure service where fully welded joints are required. It is constructed from ASTM A105 forged carbon steel and is well-suited for use in steam, oil, gas, and high-temperature chemical systems. Available in ANSI Class 600 and 1500 pressure ratings (models YCS3 and YCS5), and in sizes from ½″ through 2″, the YCS provides leak-free socket weld connections ideal for permanent installations in critical service lines. The 304 stainless steel screen offers excellent durability and flow performance, with mesh options available. A ¼″ NPT blow-off port is standard for inline cleaning, and the hex head threaded cap allows for easy screen removal. The YCS is hydrostatically tested at 1.5× design pressure to ensure performance and safety in high-pressure applications.
