OVERVIEW: The Model YCT is a compact, high-strength carbon steel Y-strainer with NPT threaded ends, designed for high-pressure service in oil, gas, steam, and chemical piping systems. Constructed from ASTM A105 forged carbon steel, the YCT is ideal for demanding environments where forged body integrity is preferred. It is available in ANSI Class 600 and 1500 versions (models YCT3 and YCT5) and in sizes ranging from ½″ through 2″. The body features a precision-machined screen cavity that accommodates a 304 stainless steel perforated screen with optional mesh inserts. A ¼″ NPT blow-off port is standard, and the threaded hex head cap allows quick removal for cleaning. The YCT is hydrostatically tested at 1.5× design pressure, making it a trusted choice for high-pressure utility systems, boiler applications, and fuel-line filtration.
