OVERVIEW: The Model YDT is a rugged ductile iron Y-strainer with NPT threaded ends, designed for compact protection in low- to medium-pressure water, air, oil, or glycol systems. Constructed from high-strength ASTM A536 ductile iron, it provides superior mechanical durability and pressure tolerance compared to standard gray iron. Available in sizes from ¼″ through 3″, the YDT is ideal for commercial HVAC, process water lines, fuel systems, and compressed air applications. The body features a deep strainer cavity to hold greater debris volume, and the 304 stainless steel screen delivers a high open-area ratio for reduced pressure drop and longer run times between servicing. A blow-off port is included for inline purging, and the threaded cap can be removed quickly for easy maintenance. Optional fusion-bonded epoxy coating enhances corrosion resistance for outdoor or chemically exposed environments.
