YFF FRP STRAINERS

OVERVIEW:  The Model YFF is a fiberglass-reinforced plastic (FRP) Y-strainer engineered for severe chemical and corrosive environments where metal and even thermoplastic options may degrade. The YFF is filament wound from vinyl ester or epoxy resin over a corrosion-resistant liner, providing both structural strength and superior chemical resistance. It is ideal for applications involving chlorine, caustics, acids, and other aggressive media, commonly found in chemical processing, pulp & paper, wastewater treatment, and marine systems.

The YFF is available in sizes from 2" to 14" and utilizes 150 lb. ANSI drilled flanged ends for secure, standard pipe connection. The internals include a removable FRP or Hastelloy screen, selected based on the application’s chemical demands. It features a bolted cover for straightforward screen access and maintenance, and optional flush connections are available for automated or manual blow-down cleaning. Each unit is hydrotested to 150 psi and custom built to suit demanding process conditions.
