OVERVIEW: The Model YIFF is a heavy-duty cast iron Y-strainer designed for large-scale debris removal in steam, water, oil, or gas systems. Available in Class 125 and Class 250 pressure ratings, these strainers are built to ANSI B16.1 standards with raised-face flanges and cover sizes from 2″ through 24″. The YIFF features a deep body cavity and an oversized screen element to maximize debris capacity while minimizing pressure drop. The 304 stainless steel screen provides a high open-area ratio and is easily accessed through a bolted cover for maintenance. Optional blow-off ports and gauge taps allow for inline flushing and differential pressure monitoring. This model is hydrostatically tested at 1.5× design pressure, and epoxy coating is available for corrosion protection.
