OVERVIEW: The Model YST0 is a compact, general-purpose stainless steel Y-strainer with NPT threaded ends, designed for corrosion-resistant service in water, chemical, compressed air, and light oil systems. Constructed from CF8M (316 stainless steel), the YST0 offers excellent resistance to rust, chlorides, and process chemicals, making it ideal for both industrial and commercial applications. Sizes range from ¼″ to 3″, and the strainer is suitable for pressures up to 800 psi WOG (on smaller sizes) and 150 psi steam. The 304 or 316 stainless steel screen provides strong filtration while maintaining a high open-area ratio to reduce pressure drop. The threaded cap allows quick screen access for cleaning, and a ½″ NPT blow-off port is standard (plugged), enabling inline purging. Its clean-body design and precision machining make it a reliable solution where corrosion resistance and compact footprint are required.
