SIL-DW1 SILENT WAFER DI CHECK VALVE

OVERVIEW: The SIL-DW FM approved center-guided silent check valves with a ductile iron body use a fully automatic spring assisted discs to eliminate water hammer while preventing flow reversal in the piping.  The spring closure acts faster than swing check valves, which can slam shut with the flow reversal.  These advanced designs have flow straightening  vanes that reduce turbulence in incoming flow, which minimizes noise, vibrations, erosion, cavitations, and other factors that could result in premature failure.

The wafer style body design is compact, versatile, and fits inside of the bolting in a flanged connection. For 2" to 6" diameters, the wafer design with scallop allows for mating to either 125/150# or 250/300# flanges. 8" through 12" diameters are suitable only for 125/150# flanges. 

Standard discs for the SIL-DW from Stayflow are stainless steel,and the soft seats are either Buna-N or Viton, and they have precision machined surfaces to maintaina bubble seal that meets API 598 leakage requirements. Metal seats can also be furnished. Discs are designed with very low cracking pressure, which reduces the amount of energy needed to open the valve. 

A globe body type version is available with our DG Silent Check Valve.  A stainless steel wafer body version is available with our SW Check Valve.
